Read the room before touching the task
Read the room before touching the task gives the /guides/trials reader a concrete decision without hiding the evidence boundary.
A Trial becomes manageable when the team separates five observations: what counts as progress, which interaction triggers danger, where a corrupted creature is moving, what route leads back to the door and which player is best positioned to work. Infection objectives can ask for different skill checks or punish mistakes differently. Puzzles may require carrying or placing pieces rather than staring at one progress bar. The first player to arrive should not automatically begin. Use a short scan, then let the appropriate role act: a Spotter can reveal information, a Lure can move pursuit away, a Hunter can apply objective pressure and a Shield can protect the recovery margin. This room-reading habit matters more as disasters overlap with enemies and the team has fewer resources to absorb a mistake.
