Warden Items and Revive Token Guide
Use Warden Revive Tokens, Hellfire Essence, Warden Roulette and survival items when they solve the next danger.
As of August 2026, save items for the failure they prevent: Revive Tokens restore teammates at intermission, instant-destruction items shorten danger, and roulette effects require caution.

01Current status
Revive Token: recovery happens at intermission
Early gameplay footage shows Revive Tokens returning defeated teammates during intermission, not while an infection or boss is actively pressuring the room. Defeated players can spectate and use ghost support, so the token decision can wait until the team is behind the door and understands what the next Trial needs. Revive by role value, remaining depth and available recovery, not panic. Returning the only information or support role may protect more future progress than reviving a duplicate job. Community tips recommend placing a token where it remains accessible around the door, but item persistence details are community reports and should be tested in the current room. Never assume that dropping a scarce item in an active Trial guarantees safe recovery later.

Instant infection destruction belongs to dangerous objectives
Launch gameplay and the Trial 10 speedrun show an item described as instantly destroying an infection. The speedrun saves several such uses for the boss floor, reducing the time spent completing objectives under pursuit. That supports a general decision, not a guaranteed route: hold the item when the current infection is safe and the next target is a known boss or disaster bottleneck; spend it when the active objective threatens a wipe, blocks escape or costs more time than the saved value. Random drops mean a run may not find the item at all. Build the plan so normal objective work remains viable, then treat instant destruction as a margin. Exact inventory limits and item names should follow the current client.

Warden Roulette is a visible risk decision
Gameplay footage describes Warden Roulette as an item that can grant a powerful temporary benefit or damage the user. Community discussion adds appearance-based speculation about predicting the outcome, but the commenter explicitly marks the idea uncertain. Do not turn that speculation into a guaranteed visual rule. Use roulette only when the possible downside does not destroy the run or when the possible protection has meaningful boss value. Record the live item text before use, check whether the effect applies immediately, and keep an escape or healing plan. A dramatic high-roll shown in one clip is not a probability table. This guide leaves out odds because none were verified.

Choose items by the next failure window
Sort inventory into recovery, objective, movement and disaster answers. Recovery includes Revive Tokens and healing. Objective items shorten or stabilize infection work. Movement items preserve stamina or create escape distance. Disaster items mitigate a named environmental state. Before leaving intermission, identify the most dangerous likely window: the next normal room, a boss threshold, a wounded team or low recovery stock. Keep one item for that window and use lower-value items to solve ordinary friction. Dropping items for teammates is supported by gameplay footage and can improve role efficiency, but communicate the location and avoid leaving the critical item in the corrupted path. The best item is the one that prevents the failure the team can actually see.
05Troubleshooting
When an item seems to do nothing
First verify that the item targets the current state: a revive item may require intermission, a disaster answer may require an active disaster, and an objective effect may need a valid infection. Read whether activation is instant, held or proximity-based. Check whether another player consumed or picked up the shared object. If the item uses random positive or negative outcomes, lack of the desired outcome is not necessarily a bug. Do not reuse old numeric values to diagnose the current patch. Capture the live text, the Trial number and what happened, then compare it with the Updates or Sources page. This creates a reproducible report instead of another rumor.
